5 Quick Kitchen Tips You Can Use Before You Sell

If you’re selling your home in the Tampa Bay area, your kitchen could probably use a little TLC. Here’s what you need to know.

5 Quick Kitchen Tips You Can Use Before You Sell

Your kitchen could make or break a deal, so use these five easy tips before you list your house for sale.

#1: Scrub and Polish the Sink

Invest in a can of Weiman Stainless Steel Cleaner or a packet of Weiman Stainless Steel Wipes – you’ll be so glad you did. Once you wipe down your sink, polish it up with your spray or wipes, then wipe away the white residue with a cloth. It’s also the only stainless steel cleaner we’ve found that works on “smudgeproof” stainless steel surfaces (we’re looking at you, once-trendy refrigerator).

#2: Clean Your Cabinets

When you cook, tiny grease molecules hit the air and stick to your cabinets – and those molecules attract dirt. Use a product like Krud Kutter, which can safely remove grime that you didn’t even know was there.

#3: Clean Your Oven and Microwave

Use a run-of-the-mill oven cleaner to make the inside of your oven shine (don’t think buyers will open it? Think again!) and use Clorox wipes or spray on the microwave.

#4: Put Most of Your Countertop Appliances Away

Keep as few countertop appliances out as possible – you want buyers to see big, open counters without anything cluttering them.

#5: Make Your Chrome Sink Fixtures Sparkle

Grab a coffee filter and some Windex. Spray the window cleaner on your kitchen faucet and wipe it away with the coffee filter to remove spots. This works on stainless steel and brushed chrome, too.
