The Florida Department of Health in Hillsborough County (DOH-Hillsborough) vaccinated 620 people against hepatitis A vaccines following the Hamburger Mary’s Ybor City incident. They offered the vaccines for free to people who had eaten or drank at the restaurant between October 4 – 20, at the Hamburger Mary’s Ybor City.

They offered the vaccine, which must be given within two weeks of exposure, to hundreds of people to try to prevent them from getting sick. To date, the health department reports that there were zero cases of Hepatitis A cases that were actually linked to the Hamburger Mary’s incident.
