Parking Permits (And Tickets) In Tampa

Published On: April 30, 2018|Categories: Tampa|Tags: , |

The City of Tampa’s parking system consists of 13,469 spaces. About 11,400 are located in garages and lots. Meanwhile, around 2,100 parking spaces are located on the streets of Tampa. Monthly parking permits’ rates vary depending on how close they are to densely developed areas within the city. The more convenient the location to the Central Business District, the more the monthly parking permit costs. Of course, hourly parking and daily parking still exists. The prices of hourly or daily parking ranges from $1.60 per hour up to a maximum of $9.50 per day.

Residents Can Purchase Monthly Parking Permits In Residential Parking Permit Districts

Parkmobile

The City of Tampa Parking Division offers an alternative parking payment option. Parkmobile lets drivers pay-by-phone using an app. Check out the features of this app on its website. First, register with Parkmobile. You can even just scan the QR code at the parking spot to begin. Download the free Parkmobile app. The app is free, but you’ll put your credit card in to actually pay the parking fee. After that, you enter the zone number listed on the sign and pick the length of time you want to park. You can even get a 15 minute heads up sent to your phone alerting you that your parking is about to expire.

Parking Tickets

They happen to the best of us sometimes. If you end up with a parking ticket, at least you can pay the citation online here.
