St. Petersburg’s year summer exchange program is currently accepting applications from St. Pete’s students interested in serving as Student Ambassadors in Takamatsu, Japan. This is open to students enrolled as high school juniors this year that live in St. Petersburg Florida. The deadline for applications is at 3 p.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2019. Applications, which you can find here, must be mailed to and received by or hand delivered to the St. Petersburg International Folk Fair Society (SPIFFS) by that deadline.
If chosen, the St. Pete’s student will live with a Takamatsu host family, attend high school there and sightsee. They will share cultural experiences about life in the United States with our Sister City in Japan! This is an awesome opportunity for students interested in studying international relations, international business or Japanese studies.
