Tampa Bay Event: Florida Strawberry Festival
The Florida Strawberry Festival is exactly what it sounds like. A festival in Florida celebrating the strawberry crop that they harvest each year. More specifically, it’s an eleven day community event stretching from February 28th to March 10th celebrating one of the tastiest, and healthiest, fruits out there.
Each and every spring, the Florida Strawberry Festival welcomes visitors from all over the world. Guests come from near and far to enjoy exhibits of agriculture, commerce, industry, livestock, fine arts, horticulture, and crafts. The Festival brings an amazing time with social events, contests, youth developmental programs, top-name entertainment, and parades with glorious floats and an excellent marching band. It has continued to grow in popularity year after year ever since it was founded in 1930, being listed as one of the top 40 fairs in all of North America. Central to its focus, the Festival continues to preserve and enhance the agricultural and historical legacy of the Florida strawberry.

You can find this wonderful festival at 303 North Lemon St., Plant City, Florida. Admission prices are $10 for adults, children over six years of age costing only $5, and children under six being allowed free admission with purchase of an adult entry. The festival is open every day from 10am to 11pm, while the midway opens from noon to 11pm every day except the weekends and Monday, being open from 10am to 11pm. Regular car parking is only $5 a vehicle, with the price going up as the car goes further past twenty feet. Fresh strawberries will be available for purchase all over the festival, and the food vendors will also be selling various strawberry-themed desserts. Drinking, smoking, and other intoxicating substances are not allowed on the premises, nor will any be sold on fair grounds.
