Top Three Outings For The Family In Tampa
Tampa offers a myriad of fun outings for the family. Some are sure winners every time though. Here are the top three places you can go for a daily outing with the family in Tampa.
Busch Gardens
The top place for a family outing in Tampa is most certainly Busch Gardens. Busch Gardens is open every day of the year. Park hours vary by the day and the season, so be sure to check the website. You’ll also find that prices vary too. For example, single weekday tickets for people ages 3 and up are $75. The same ticket for the weekend is $87. You can save money by purchasing the tickets online. We’re not talking about a small amount of money either. If you buy a weekday ticket online, you’ll save $22 on admission per ticket! Alternately, if you have CityPASS, which costs $99 for adults and $84 for kids, it will cover your admission to Busch Gardens and four other Tampa area attractions like the Florida Aquarium and the Lowry Park Zoo.
Florida Aquarium
Speaking of the Florida Aquarium. This is generally considered the second best family outing in Tampa. The Florida Aquarium is open every day from 9:30 in the morning until 5 o’clock in the evening. Again, you can also get admission by investing in a CityPass. Otherwise online ticket costs are $21.95 for adults, $19.95 for seniors and $17.95 for kids ages 3 to 11 get in for $17.95. The tickets will be a couple dollars more at the door.
Tampa Theatre
The Tampa Theatre is probably the third best place for a family outing in Tampa. You can even get a 90-minute “balcony to backstage” tour. The tour includes a demonstration of the Wurlitzer theater organ. You can take a tour in Tuesdays and Saturdays at 11:30 in the morning. Tickets for adults cost $7.50 and tickets for children ages 2 to 12 are only $5.
