A proposed tennis center in Zephyrhills appears to be on its way, though a ways off. Zephyrhills officials hoped to start construction on the Sarah Vande Berg Memorial Tennis Center this year, but it wasn’t in the cards. That’s not to say it won’t happen though. The tennis center is planned to be built near the 167-acre District at Abbot’s Square sub.

It will be a city-owned tennis center planned near the 1,200 single-family and multi family home, duplex and townhouse subdivision. The subdivision’s investment company pledged to donate land to the city for the tennis center. ANother snag came about at a recent meeting in which concerns were raised that the tennis centers designs don’t align well with the look of Zephyrhills’ city buildings. Even still, this snag is said to not actually delay the project further. So, the tennis center in Zephyrhills is still a go!
