The idea of a snow-themed amusement park in Florida might not make sense at first, but Pasco County and Point Summit Inc. are planning to open Florida’s first snow-themed amusement park anyway. The park is still just in the planning stages, but it would offer snow tubing and other snowy activities. The Orange County Clerk & Comptroller’s Office alerted the Pasco County Clerk of a possible bond refund scam that could end up targeting Pasco County residents. A company is allegedly sending unsolicited mailers or advertisements to customers who have posted cash bonds. The website used is: www.bondrefund.com. The mailers and advertisements reportedly claim that the Clerk is holding their bond money. It further says that the person is entitled to a refund. Bubba’s 33, an affiliate of the Texas Roadhouse chain, plans to build its first ever Florida restaurant in Pasco County. The restaurant features beer, pizza and burgers and is a part of Texas Roadhouse. As it is, it will end up on Silver Maple Parkway, facing SR 56, right next to an existing Texas Roadhouse.
